Hello everyone,
We are in the final stages of preparing this hunt for all of the hunters, a few more shops still to get set up fully, and I have to say the gifts that I have seen are amazing. I am so very excited about this hunt. The theme is a very wide range idea that includes Earth day, general celebration of our planet, and even includes celebrating earth gods/goddesses of any culture! The gifts that I have seen so far truly reflect that wide range of possibilities with the theme. We have everything from Skin to jewelry and furniture to homes and even some beautiful garden locations.
Before we get into the rush of hunting I want to first thank every vendor who has signed up and is participating in this hunt for all their hard work on the beautiful gifts. This hunt is going to be truly unique and very cool!
To our hunters: Hints will arrive here within 48 hours of the hunt start! (Those who provided hints to me will likely be ready by hunt start and posted then or shortly after and I will fill in the rest of the blanks as soon as I can). You can get help through the Silver & Gold Hunt Hunters Group or the Associated Gridwide Hunters Group. I will be monitoring and providing hints to both. This will be the last hunt I use the Silver & Gold Hunt Hunters Group. As I am now an Associated Hunt Vendors Group hunt organizer I will be using the Associated Gridwide Hunters Group for all future hunts. Those who wish to stay and follow my hunts please join that group. It will be providing help for all hunt organizers who have been accepted to that role in the AHVG so will also help with a large number of other hunts.
AND a bit of looking forward.... this is my third hunt, I am so glad they have all gone so well and am looking forward to continuing to organize hunts. I am looking at the next hunt to be something fun and silly or maybe a little insane but it will be in July!

Gearing Up... Vendors please take note!
Hi everyone, I want to be sure that for anyone who has received a vendor welcome pack gets the pertinent information. Please be sure that you have accepted an invite to the Silver & Gold Hunt Vendors Group either on your main account, an alt account, or in the case of multiple partners at least one partner in your business has joined this group. I have approximately 10 vendors who have not accepted the group invitations. Either you did not receive them or you did not accept them. Group membership is required by at least one avatar per business as that is our main form of communication. I will not update this blog with all the information that I send to vendors. If you do not have this group on any avatar please contact me (Rox Arten) via notecard (my IM's cap within an hour of my logging out most days the chances of my missing an IM are very high) to request another invite be sent. Please specify which avatar name you need invited as some of you have only one and others listed multiple avatars. This will save me some steps in getting these final invites out. I will double check that all shops have one avatar at least in the group as I do my prehunt walkthrough. All communication about the status of all shops after the setup walk through, prehunt walk through, and the run of the hunt path I will do just after it starts will be communicated via the group notices. the hunt has expanded and I have taken more applications, this is a popular theme and I decided that unless we hit the point that we are at the 160 that my first hunt had I am positive that I can manage the hunt.
I will be doing the pre setup walkthrough later this week or early next week, at that time I will be checking that everyone has their sign out, the landmarks are still correct (or corrections have been sent in some cases), and checking which sims are adult to note that for the hunt objects. I do this to ensure that all shops that are numbered in the order have intent to participate and I have the current landmarks for the hunt objects.
Following that I will be stuffing the hunt objects with landmarks (and in the cases of adult sims the ones before them will have a notecard included for anyone who is not verified to be able to skip that location and continue on).
The hunt objects will be sent out with the LM in it, already set to sell contents for L$0, you will need to simply rez them by your sign when you get them to prepare for the prehunt walk through. You will also at that time receive a hunter information sign that will replace the current sign. The prehunt walkthrough I will be checking that signs are changed and hunt objects are out. PLEASE DO NOT uncheck the for sale for this walk through (you may choose to place a notecard in the object saying come back when the hunt starts if you wish), I am also doing this to ensure I have not made any mistakes with landmarks (I am human and I do make mistakes from time to time).
ALL locations that are not ready for the walk through (which I will announce that I will be starting in group) and do not fix their location so that I can check it by April 1st will be replaced. I understand RL comes first but please remember that the rules were clear before you applied and that your welcome pack informed you of this fact. This is done to ensure the hunt path remains unbroken for our hunters and for the other vendors. There are over 100 vendors counting on me to ensure this hunt goes smoothly and for the sake of the rest of them those who do not get set up must be removed.
Lastly, I have had the great fortune to have seen a few of the gifts already, I am very excited by the variety we have for this hunt and can't wait to see what everyone has come up with! We have almost every kind of vendor in this hunt! It's going to be great.... so if your not in the group let me know, and please be sure to watch notices, we have 2 1/2 weeks left before the hunt starts!
